Plumb tired of this

I swear I replaced that valve just last year. Why is the kids’ bathroom faucet leaking again? It’s not a complex mechanism. The valve is about all there is that can go wrong. It shouldn’t have worn out so soon.

And yet it has. There is only one logical conclusion. My house hates me. It wasn’t enough that the front fence is falling down, or that I broke off the handle on the front yard spigot. Or that water comes out from under our eaves in places other than the rain gutters. No, things that have already been fixed must also start going out again.

Remind me again why home ownership is such a great thing? This isn’t sweat equity, it’s blood, sweat, and tears equity.

I know some of you out there can relate. Are we crazy? Or masochistic? Why do we let our houses put us through all this?

No, no, our house doesn’t hate you. It’s giving you learning experiences. 🙂
