I had intended to write a better blog post last night. But that was before I spent the evening herding cub scouts around the local historical restoration turned trendy shopping district where they were having a Witch Fest.They decorate pretty extensively and operate a scavenger hunt where you’re supposed to locate specific witches they have posted around the place.
That was also before I spent the rest of the night tearing the house apart looking for Indiana Jones’ whip. I did find it…eventually. It was right where I’d put it so it wouldn’t get lost, of course. I searched the garage several times, but each time avoided that stack of plastic bins I was certain were empty. It took me nearly an hour to get desperate enough to search more systematically.
On the bright side, with all of this going on I barely had time to notice my migraine.
Anyway, Happy Halloween, everyone! Have a fun and safe evening! I’ll be escorting at least some of my kids around the neighborhood as they extort goodies from the neighbors. But in the mean time, if you want to see something really scary…
