The smaller of two populated islands in the Sea of Casselome, Tremandi lives or dies by trade. Their merchant vessels can be found everywhere along the Casselome coasts, and most of them do honest business. There are some, however, who grow so desperate for specific resources that they find it expedient to raid shipping and the coasts of Faltris and Ornestra for what they need. Rather than risk a civil war the Guild Masters impose light punishments as a show of “doing something,” while essentially winking at the behavior.
Most Tremandiin merchants are honest and highly-skilled seamen. Their vessels are the only ones that regularly navigate the Viedland Strait to the Cold Ocean to trade with peoples in the Siriadon. Some have claimed to have gone as far west as the fjords, or eastward to O Chiai
